A dog is too hard to take care of so I'm thinking of another pet. I'm not too fond of cats because I feel they don't show as much affection. AKA they practically ignore you. I'm looking for a pet which would recogzine you, and is affectionate.

Well, any pet is going to take some work. There are not too many easy to care for pets that are very affectionate. A small dog is not hard to care for. Cats can be extremely affectionate (they are actually too affectionate for me! That is why I have a dog!). Small mammals, like hamsters, ferrets, are not as affectionate but may be easy to care for. Reptiles are not very affectionate. Birds can be very affectionate but are also hard to care for. To be honest, my husband loves his fish. Every time he comes in the room they go crazy. I know it sounds ridiculous! But it is totally true. They have a bond I just can't describe. And they are totally easy to care for!!

are you sure you find that cats are not affectionate?
well I had a cat for 13 years and she was so close to me that she used to be next to me and goes wherever I go in the house just like a child does with his mom
now I have a 2 or so years old cat and an 8 weeks old kitten both are so close to me that they stay in my room all day long only going out when they need the litter or have something to eat or drink but when I am there they just come and either play in the room I am in or the mother cat just lays next to me trying to show love ..
trust me .. cats can be affetionate !!!!
so get yourself a cat!

Cats are very affectionate in their own way. When you have one, you'll see. They don't come to you all the time, but when they do, it means they really want you and that feels soooo tender. They can be really affectionate too.

There are cats that are affectionate. When choosing a kitten choose one that is really affectionate towards you and seems like he or she likes being held.

I have owned cats all my life. They are very affectionate.They sleep with me purrr head butt sit in my lap.They follow me around the house.They are a very nice pets.
