The one and only, RICHARD PRYOR, mf! whats with you guys? this guy started it all! there would be no Eddie Murphy, No Connolly or Izzard if it wasn't for RICHARD PRYOR! he is the best by far! the guy was funny :) honest and RAW, not forced like some of today's wannabes, alot of people copy pryor, no one can beat the ORIGINAL for modern comedy, Robin Williams? Pryor made the guy! anyway, u have to look at Laurel and Hardy, Norman Wisdom, Ronnie Barker, Tommy Cooper, Morcome and wise, Cleese! Geniuses who would make people laugh with out swearing :)

Eddie Murphy did a show called delirious WAY back in the eighties, it still makes me howl with laughter every time i see it.
I think Lee Evans and Billy Connolly are great too.
