Some people predict the baby's sex with heartreate, but it really isn't a good predictor. The baby/fetus' heartrate varies with the time of day, state of the mother's health, and stress levels of the mother.

The low heartbeats usually mean a boy...baby could also be sleeping as well. My son maintained around a 130 -145 heartbeat.

It's really hard to tell without and ultrasound. I know alot of people who had the heart rate of a girl and had a boy and so worth. Ask the doctor to give you an ultrasound not only to see the sex of the baby but to also make sure everything is ok with the baby.. Good luck and Congrats..

thats good to hear ur baby has a strong heartbeat and is doing well, but u cant really tell just by the heartbeat, sometimes a boys can be faster, but the olny way to really tell is to confirm the sex on an ultrasound

I just had my sonogram and the babies heart beat was 158 and it's a boy so you can't always tell by the heartbeat.
