I had been informed that they are worth more as they are than the stones would be , any info would be greatly appreciated

You've bought costume jewellery - the "stones" are probably just glass or some resin.

The previous 2 answers look right to me - costume jewelry. I did a google on "stage rings" and got a lot of links to rockets, circuses and assorted microbiology sites, PLUS lots of links to Sonic the Hedgehog! Not exactly what you were looking for. Sorry.

Have a jeweller check them out. The stones could be cubic zirconia/diamante if they are clear. If they are colored, sometimes it's hard to tell so it's better if a jeweller tests them for you.
