Kobe Bryant is the best of the bunch. The greatest threats to him here are McGrady & LeBron. T-Mac's effort has been questioned as has his consistency on defense. He can go point for point with Kobe better than anyone on this list. LeBron only has to upgrade his shooting and defense. He's the most unselfish of this group. Carmelo is coming into his own. He only needs to prove that his Dream Team performance will carry over to the regular NBA season. Wade improves every year. He needs to improve his defense. He'll play hard defensively, but he needs a tad more work.

Kobe
1. Carried Lakers to playoffs
2. 81 points on the raptors
3. 35 points per game.
4. Hit game winner against Phoenix in Game 3 of playoffs.
Lebron
is okay but still young. Even though he averaged 30 points per game last season. He is still not experienced. we have to watch and see what he is going to become.
Dwayne Wade
Very good, fast, athletic. But cannot shoot from behind the arc.
Tracy McGrady
Very good. But always gets injured. Leaving the team in shambles.
So Kobe is the best.

I thik that this time the best player is Kobe Bryant.
in the future it goes withiut saying that th best player will be Carmelo Anthony.I dont thin LeBron is more talented than McGrady, Wade and Anthony.Maybe he is one of the best dunkers But what about the shooting skill???

Right now I'd have to say Kobe but give it about 5 years and people will seriously talk about Lebron in the same breath as M.J. and if you ask me Lebron will go down as the greatest most gifted basketball player ever.

Looking at international play, you can come to the conclusion that shooting is the better option then dunking on people. Kobe can shoot, but I just flat out don't like him. My vote is with Carmelo Anthony, team player with no ego that is effective anywhere on the court.

ahhhh why is this a question and how are those answers....
You have a player with a record (in to ways), an immature baller hu wasn't ready straight out of highschool, a ball hog huz reached his peak already, a player hu I like but is too injury prone and then Dwayne... Jordan is the greatest but I atleast think now he has Competition

Man.. I think to score 81 points is one game is radiculous.
Top of that he's still sharing the ball..
I give it to KOBE. In order for him to win another ring. They gotta build around him.. Few more pieces missing.
