There is a good chance to be (normal) All of us havebeen hurt to one degree or another when we are young. Sadly a child can't know what to do to kept pass what has happened to them. That's where responsible parenting comes in. If parents don't get a child the help they need then chances are not so good. By the time a child is old enough to realize they needed help they have already learned how to bury their emmotion pretty well.

I had something that hurt me beyond comprehension when I was little but yes I got on with my life and became what ever normal is, you have to do that for your own sanity or you end up been a victim for eternity and you get no life or points for victim syndrome.

This is not an answer for myself. But yes, I know of a friend who has been deeply affected by her abusive parents. She experienced difficulty coping with her past. She'd seek therapy many times; she couldn't take care of herself. For example, she didn't eat much, she didn't take a shower for a week; she dropped out of school cuz of mental illness. She talked to herself all the time. She's in her late 20s and she couldn't drive.

If you strive to lead a normal life even if you're hurting, sure why not... its a conscious effort, but then again what is normal nowadays?! Just move on, what ever happened to your past is past, don't let it rule your life.

There is no normal, and most people have had bad things happen to them. But you just have to live with it and forge on. Learn from it .What happened to you is not who you are, don't make a bad experience your defining moment. Define your own life.

sure you can! It's only the matter of time, how quickly you'll get back on your feet depends on how badly you were hurt, but you WILL feel better as the time goes by. what's important is to be with your friends and family cause they can help you a lot just by being there for you...

Sure you can - if you face it and overcome it properly and not just try to bury it.
In fact, you will probably end up being a stronger more positive person later on, if you overcome the hurt and learn to deal with it.
Good luck x

Of course.Part of growing up is getting hurt, falling and getting up again.Thats how you learn from your experiences and mature. Now if it was something very bad that happened I dont know.Depends on how serious it was.But you must always be able to pick up your pieces and move ahead!

of course! as long as you breathe everything is normal but it all depends on how you handle the situations, learning to accept is the best way to forget, and forgeting is forgiving if you have that then you succeed to conquer your pains and failures in life.Remember to live is the most beutiful thing God has given us aside from our parents

You can't generalise so broadly.
It depends on what it was, you can't go thru life looking back and mis-trusting everybody.
Hurt and pain, if treated, can recede or even disappear...........this is a very tough question to answer.
