Last question first: they can't always tell if you don't like them if you are always polite and do not make rude remarks or body language in their presence. If they're smart though, and not TOO stuck on themselves being the queen/king of the universe, *wink* they can tell, eventually.
Yes, there are ways to know if someone doesn't like you. If they talk to you or get you to confide in them, and then next week you hear a nasty LIE of a rumor started about you by them. Also, they either talk to you less or smile less around you. They might slip up and make some snide remarks or turn their back on you a lot when you're about to talk to them. There are other ways, but the rumor one or when people who know both of you tell you what they said about you generally works.

Yes it's all to do with the vibes.
However, it is probably all in the mind and you end up liking that person once you get to know them. And if you give that someone the chance to get to know you will both end up liking each other.
That's what makes the world go around friendship and love.

Yes, I'm pretty good at reading body language. If someone doesn't like me, I can usually tell and so make it my business not to get too close.
If I don't like someone they can tell too. Even though I try not to make it too obvious, at the same time as being good at reading other's body language, I'm not very good at controlling mine! I'm not ashamed, though, of letting someone know!

Yes I think it's a combination of the signals people give off without being aware of it, like body language and you being able to sense this by picking up the signals or just by plain old intuition!

Yup; body language and mannerisms. You many not always realise on an intellectual level - but you're likely to at a subconscious level.

yeps...u can sense it...its the vibes,
the mannerisms, bodylanguage n signs, sarcistic replies n comments, esp the cold look n ignoring attitude
its easier to kno that som1 doesnt like u or is jealous of u...than knowing if som1 loves u

yes often we can tell when some one does not like us, their body language gives them away.

You can usually get an inkling if someone doesn't like you. Don't know what it is, but 'get lost, I don't like you' is often a hint!!!
