If you are using the new yahoo mail beta version that most people are, you just right click on the folder and go to delete. Easy as that! Its designed to work just like a desktop mail client so it just works...!

If you are in old Yahoo then click on the arrow next to Mail, then click on Folders, then a list will come up and the option to delete should be next to the folder you want to delete. I have been trying to do this for ages and have only just managed it!!
Have fun x

For Yahoo Mail (Not for Beta)
Above My folders, If you see Folders written.
Infront of Folders there is add-edit option.
Click on the edit link.
It will take you to next page.
You will see names of all the folders.
In front of each name there is an option to Rename-Delete.
You can press Delete to remove the folder.
PS: The folder should be empty before you try to delete.
