NO, its your MIND & not money. No doubt money is power. But your mind is more powerful than money. Its ur EVIL MIND that decides how, where & in what to utilise / earn / misuse money.

Money is, after all, just paper and metals. I do think that money can contribute to evil at times (many people commit evil acts in an effort to get money), but I don't believe it is the root of ALL evil. I believe that evil is a result of humans thinking they know better than God and choosing to do things their way.

well, the national lottery is the root of evil, it fails to take into consideration the plight of those less fortunate than others, whilst making potential lottery winners richer. and what are the chances of every person benefitting from this? there are in fact none.
yet, for me money isn't the root of all evil. money isn't the solution to all problems. it isn't the be all and end all thing. if its spent properly and wisely, in a way that benefits others, as well as yourself, then that's a very good thing. and yet money doesn't buy happiness, as that comes within yourself and from other people.
take the live 8 situation and bob geldof egging blair and brown to thrown money at african nations- and yet what has that achieved? nothing, apart from ending up in the pockets of evil and brutal dictators, like robert mugabe.

I think money has been the root cause of the bad things that go on in the world, money pays for wars and deprivation, it changes peoples life's and can make some very selfish in their attitudes towards other people, but for me I still don't believe it is the root of all evil, I think that still belongs to the bad people in the world.

There's no such things as 'Evil'...Nothing is in itself 'Evil' - just the thoughts or motives behind it. It is not inherently evil to throw sweets into the road, and if someone throws some into the road when a child is nearby to go after them, it's only Evil if they knew it, and planned it as a 'kiddie-trap'. The Evil is IN the person doing the act, and EVEN THEN - it's only actually Evil if the 'audience' (society) believes it to be so (e.g. 'socially' decided crimes like bigamy, incest, beastiality, sodomy). So, MONEY is not evil, but certain crimes of greed (like theft) might be

So it is in the in the bible and belived by people. It is not that money is devilish and bad to have but with money, man belives the world is his property and that he made it and everything in it. Money causes so many things, take for instance a man who was poor and praying day and night to GOD for money and after getting it forgets God and goes about spending the money uselessly on things which will never be of good help to him. Christ in the bible said'' what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and suffer the loose of his own soul ''.
If you have money and make good use of it by helping the poor and doing any other good you can think of.
