I'm not a bad looking chap but I'm always skint. I have lots of girl friends but no one who i'd buy flowers for. So what would a woman rather have a man who loves them with all their heart or large bank balance and a flash motor? I'm from Essex and the latter always seems to be the case.

You should listen to some interviews conducted by Warren Farrell, Ph.D. of women about their choices in men and whether they favor men who have achieved wealth or hard workers. At the beginning of the interview, all the women say they don't look at money as a reason. The series of questions were the usual, about looks, gentleness, politeness, etc. and they were designed to get a positive answer. But, the final question was that the man worked as a busboy, and there is always a very pregnant pause.

I don't know about the women in Essex (I've always wanted to go to England) but we American girls, at least the ones I know, could care less about money. Sure, it'd be nice if our dates had a car to take us out instead of the bus, but I don't care whether it's a BMW or a Pinto. It's about love and romance, and boys. I like boys. They're so scruffy and cute. I have to admit, I do love that song though (fun for hanging with the girls).

Some women will admittingly like men with money and seek security first, then "love". I mean, that's why there are supermodels who date not to attractive but rich men. It does seem like alot of women want security. Some women howerver only need to know that they man they're with has a job and who is a good man and who also can love them. I can support myself and don't need a man to do that for me but if I date someone I do prefer someone with a job, but he doesn't have to be a banker or anything, especially if he is really passionate about his work (ie a zookeeper, swim instructor, school teacher, etc.)

No. I like boys. I am a girl too.

Cars I don't mind, but I can live without. Money I make on my own. It's attention and love that I like.

Btw, money and cars are two ways that boys display attention to the girls, so it may be that I am just not that picky on the way attention should be displayed...

A flashy car attracts girls but will not lead (generally) to lasting happiness. I used to know a guy with a well impressive motor and he had to fight the girls off with a stick.
