i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

The first time I saw him in the ocean swimming with sharks he had me worried...I was worried that he wouldn't be able to move as quickly....That would have never happened on land. I'm sure he saw it coming...he always did...but your movement underwater are in slow motion...whereas the ocean creatures move with lightning speed.
He was so full of life ....I can't believe he's gone. I wished traveling back in time is possible, so that this tragic accident can be undone. Wishful thinking...I know. I wonder what will become of the kids and Teri...but then again Steve Erwin married an awesome lady...she will do just fine.

When I found out he died it wuz a shocker to me too and the rest of the world. He always took risks like this when shooting his shows and documentaries. But this time i guess he took one too many. I wish such tragedies didnt have to happen. :-(

To teach others that also wish to take unnecessary risks that if they have a wife and or children they have to know this isn't the right way to live your life! His death must convey this message to others immediately! Only single unattached people should be taking these kind of risks!

You mess with the bull long enough and sooner or later you get the horns.
I think he's had a latent death wish for ages.

because everyone has to die. a better question might be, why did he have to die so young. an answer would be the same--we live, we die and everything in between is gravy.
