Well, Huntley is scum and I think the public would generally have preferred him to die after the trial. It's true that his evil acts were by no means unique - but I think the general view is that all child killers deserve to be put to death.
Steve Irwin was a great entertainer and environmentalist who the public seemed to respect. 'Obviously' his life had more value, and I think most people would prefer him still to be with us. However no one should forget that Steve was aware exactly how dangerous his job was and he died doing something he loved. His wife and daughter would have preferred another 25 years with him - but not many of us will go out doing something important and respected around the world.

Steve Irwin was a legend, but he died doing what he loved. Ian Huntley has survived and needs to, as the longer he lives, the higher the chance he might actually become remorseful about his actions in Soham, and North East Lincolnshire before Soham.

I don't think either should die. What happened to Steve Irwin was a tradgedy and he will be missed, but Huntley is a sick bastard who should suffer for what he did.

In what bizarre concept of things is one person's death linked to another - frankly I cannot understand all this outburst of grief over Steve Irwin - this is a guy who made a living (except in the end, quite the opposite) from exposing himself to the most dangerous and deadly creatures on Earth... and then taking his baby in with him!!!

I think your question is pointless and the answer is obvious. Life isn't fair and good, decent people die every day where others live. I don't care whether Ian Huntely lives or dies. The real tradegy is that he was ever born.

How are these two things related?
This is a stupid question a very stupid question. Do you work for radio 1 - lets ask members of the public a stupid question with an obvious answer.

I dont have the power to make that choice of the knowledge to know that I am absolutely right .. if however you go on what we know of the two (and that is relying on media accuracy) then the sum total of their acts would suggest that the wrong one got it.
