Madagascar is an island but you could drive to the coast of Africa (probably the port of Durban in South Africa would be the best bet but Maputo in Mozambique is also an option) and then put your boat on a cargo ship. Just whatever you do make sure you have a good car (I would suggest a Toyota) as there is nothing worse than being stuck in Africa with a seized engine!

I wouldn't say so! It's an island on the South East of Africa right by South Africa. So I'd say if you want to go there you can just buy a plane ticket or go swimming which may take about twelve months assuming you live in Florida, but considering they have stingrays and Steve Irwin just got killed I'd stick with the plane ride!

Since Madagascar is an island off the southeast coast of the African continent, you could try a World War 2 amphibious vehicle called the DUKW.

The recently completed "Joshua Tongogara Bridge-Tunnel Complex" allows you to drive onto a train in Kampala, and ride in a car-carriage through a series of undersea tunnels and above-water bridges all the way to Toliara in south-west Madagascar!

The toll is steep though, so take plenty of Malagasy francs!

Well probably not since its about 6500 + miles depending which route you take, plus you will need at least 2 ferries. You will probably need a jeep for large parts of Africa, and extra fuel tanks, provisions etc.etc. Better to take the bus!

No. I would take a cruiser, chartered and captained by 3 penguins from the New York Zoo. What a laugh!

If you're not cheating and using a car ferry, then you're going to need Gibbs Technologies Aquada... (see clicky below. James Bond, eat your heart out.)
