Most people use the term 'Math' for Mathematics. But is it grammatically correct? I want a reply that is based on reliable sources, and not based on what you think is right.

A lot of people have answered this question but I'll put in my two cents. It depends on what country you're in. Americans say Math but here in Australia we say Maths. As mentioned before, there is color and colour; program and programme; litre and liter and so on. No point in looking it up in the dictionary because the answer will presumably depend on where it was printed!

Based in which country you stay in. Grammatically both are correct. If you write Maths instead of Math, they are both correct.
