Try using Adaware instead, I have found it to be very good. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware
Good luck

Security software makers pulled a fast one with the malware/adware classification. Now they act as if these are not viruses, even though they are, as is any program installed, loaded, and operating without your consent that is not part of your operating system. However now you must have both antivirus and adware/spyware protection because they reclassified some of the viruses so they could make people buy two programs instead of one. I use two of each, Norton corporate and free Antivir virus programs, and Yahoo free Norton spyware and free Adaware. Between the four of them I only paid for one and Adaware tends to catch what the others miss.

Unfortunately you cannot correct the viruses who are at the head of these security companies which pulled this virus-vs.-adware/spyware scam on the public.

If you think you are already infected, start your computer in safe mode and run all your scans. Many viruses can evade these scans in normal mode. Safe mode lets you scan for them when the virus programs are not loaded. Also use "last known good" configuration in your boot options before you scan if you cannot get things running.

Malware Sweeper is a rogue program. It gives lots of False Positives. I recommend you uninstall it and get Windows Defender Beta 2 (free) and SpywareBlaster (free). Along with Spybot these two should give you good protection. You can get WDB2 and SpywareBlaster here in the red boxes:

by the sounds of it ,this program is reporting what we call "false posotives",these are infections that appear in certain scanners but dont really exist
my recommendation is remove this program"malware sweeper" and use a trusted program such as lavasoft adaware(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/),this works well with spy-bot to protect your computer from spyware
you have to beware of these programs, ecspecially the ones which are advertised on web pages with banners saying"your p.c is infected...download this",as ironically these actually contain malware, and to remove them you have to buy software from the company, its a con
good luck

I'd get rid of Malware Sweeper and replace it with SuperAntiSpyware ( http://www.superantispyware.com/ )

Malware Sweeper isn't a well known product, and there are reports that it produces bogus false positives.

People who use lesser-known antispyware software should check here to see if it is bogus:

hi, that maybe a virus, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:
