Can Britney Spears one day overtake Mariah Carey?
What sort of question is that.
Britney Spears will never be able to over take Mariah Carey no matter how hard she tries.
Britney's career died long before her relationship with N*Sync's Justin Timberlake ended. Now that she has married Kevin Federline her career is none revivable. Britney hasn't even got a decent voice she only became famous for her school girl image for her first hit 'Baby one more time'.
Mariah Carey, now she may not have a full blown career like she used to. But she does know when to pull back and stay out of the limelight for a while and then come back with stomping new tunes.
Mariah may not be a perfect singer but like most singers her voice is definitely recognisable. But, she definitely has more of a Holly Voice than Britney ever will.

yes, why not. Wins those who have money, health, rotation and fans. If to count the number of articles published about Britney, she is 100% more popular in mass media than Mariah. So, it's quite possible.
P.S:Is Britney loosing her? I doubt.
