They remain. Depending on how much skin you loose you'll have excess skin, but you can try to fade them slightly with stretch mark cream and/or laser.

i have had a baby and my skin was stretched to the max and i have a lot of stretch marks now but as time has passed mine have a faded alot and with a fake tan you can't see them!

Use coco butter to on stretch marks to help them fade.

Different for different people. When I lost weight mine disappeared. When My wife had the child and got slimer hers stayed. She lost her weight quickly me slowly, but who knows if that made a difference. Another thing surface scars heal pretty good on me, even deep scars go eventually.

they are just there. At least that is what happened to me. They aren't as noticable but they are there.
