If you want to take a chance on killing the hamster then yes. If you use heat you can cook it by only raising its body temperature a few degrees, on the other hand if you just use air you can give it a cold by lowering the temperature.
Why not just take a towle and dry it off it only takes a few seconds.

Yes, it is safe if you're careful. It's best if you keep the blow dryer on low and keep the drier at good foot or so away from your little guy. Try not to blow it in his/her face. Because hamsters are so small they dry real fast, but if you're in a hurry you can always give them a good rub with a towel before the blow dry. They're rather amusing to look at afterwards - kinda like they've had a bad hair day!

Yeah, but they hate it. Make sure you don't do it too close because of the heat. I use the counter for help because mine sometimes bite.

haha THis reminds me of when i had a hamster named hammy and i would give him baths every week. he smelled OH so good!
