Batman, though not technically a superhero. Dark, brooding, disturbed, destroyed. He came back but knows that killing for revenge will never take his pain away.

By far the greatest hero of all time has to be James "Logan" "Patch" "Weapon X" Howlett.
AKA Wolverine, half English, half Canadian.
More an anti-hero than hero sometimes but what a man,
with the mutant powers of better senses, a ultra healing factor and an adamanitium coating on his bones, which include three sharpe *** claws that extend from each fore arm the guy is a legend.
