Because they have antigravity devices inside their bodies. Actually, close up, walls aren't as smooth as they look. They have lots of small holes and cracks in them that a lizard can grip with its claws. Geckos have specialized feet with tiny finger like projections on their toes which increase the surface area and help them cling to smooth surfaces including glass.

they are really light and the have some kinda cells on their feet that allow 'em to attach to any kinda surface any position they want
