Keonne, I've been testing Gmail since it's been first released a few years ago, when an invite was impossible to get. And Gmail's attachment service has been a major issue since then. I bet you've never heard of the "Oops! Something went wrong" incident in Gmail. Whole Google groups were bought up to resolve and discuss this problem.
By the way, first try disabling your firewall. (Or make sure you've given your browser server access rights if you're an advanced user). Then try attaching a small text file to see if everyhting's working fine. If you can't attach the text file Go to your browser's options (Tools>Options in FireFox and Tools>Internet Options in Internet Explorer) and delete your cache and cookies. Close your browser and try attaching the small file again.
If you can attach the text file without going through this procedure, you might wanna wait a bit more to attach your file (Depends on your upload speed) and check the file-size it should be under 10MB for Yahoo Mail.

You should be able to, even with the free mail. Go to compose, then type the message you want to send, then just below the subject bar is a button that says attach files, click it and it'll take you to a new page where you can attach up to five files from your pc, be it picture, document or song, although songs can take a hell of a long time to attach. then once you have attached them click back to message and send it where you want!

the article should be too heavy cos with yahoo u have actually as a lot as 10mb to upload for loose person and 20mb for actual type subscribers even that typically very sluggish, so i will recommend u get a Gmail from google it really is more effective faster, accessible and u have over 2800mb of area to upload

Maybe the files are kinda large. Try compressing them with a zipper before sending them.
