What is it?
If it is a virus then your anti-virus program will automatically remove it. If it fails to remove the virus, then try to download some av software(free) from the net.
1.Avast(www.avast.com)
2.AVG(free.grisoft.com)
3.Avira,Comodo or Camwin(search for their websites in Google)

If its some spyware or adware or Trojan Horse download any one of the following anti-spywares, then scan ur computer and delete the spyware:
1.Ewido(free.grisoft.com)
2.AdAware(www.lavasoft.com)

hi, that maybe a virus, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP)

Download: "http://www.fileupyours.com/files/58061/sysclean.rar"

Execute; c:\sysclean\SYSCLEAN_FE.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'SYSCLEAN_FE Link' }

The needed files will be downloaded and you will subsequently get a menu:
-
Choose 1 To shutdown the system (Win9x/ME) or to reboot it (NT4, Win2K, WinXP &
Win2003 Server) so you can reboot into Safe Mode.
Choose 2 To run the SYSCLEAN.COM utility right away.
Choose 3 to exit the Sysclean Front End utility. { also ‘E’ or ‘e’ will exit the utility }
-
Choose 1 so u can boot in safe mode

---------starting in safe mode----------------

when you reboot....continualy tap the "f8" key until you get a boot selection screen. Select "safe mode."
----------------------------------------------

When in safe mode, again make sure "system restore" is off...i cannot stress how important that is as most viruses live there.

Shutdown as many applications as possible in !
Then execute; c:\sysclean\SYSCLEAN.COM

gl!

Run your Norton Anti-virus scanner. It would be able to detect it.
