What was the name of what kept it in motion as it was being played with by the kids that were so into it?????

Yes they were great.
I think it was called gyroscopic motion, its the same motion that keeps a bike balanced and moving forward when you peddle.

it was centripetal force that kept it in motion. i had a pink one with yellow ribbon detail:)
