Fold scarf in half once. Wrap folded end around your neck. Pull loose end through folded end. This makes it lay nice, without a big bulky knot.
Or, wrap it loosely around your shoulders, with both ends folded over shoulders hanging down back. Like a pashmina.
for your head, fold scarf to desired width, and tie in a knot underneath your hair. Secure with bobby pins, which you can hide in the fold of the scarf.
Lace through belt buckles and tie in a knot.
Drape over one shoulder to the opposite side of your body at your waist, and secure with a beautiful brooch, like a sash.
Tie it around the strap of your purse to give it some oomph.
Tie it around the brim of a hat.

Whether long or short, put it around your neck until both ends come even in front of you. Then, take the ends and bind them around your neck for extra warmth-- if needed, of course. Finally, just tie a nice knot. Not too tight though! The alternative would be to put a scarf around you put instead for the ends to be behind you. Then, pull the ends in front of you for extra warmth as well. There are actually many, many ways to wear a scarf so now I'll let your creative juices flow! ; )

A scarf is a very versatile accessory. U can do anything from wearing it around Ur neck to wearing it round Ur head. Don't be afraid, experiment and see what looks good and feel comfortable to u. If u are into an African feel u can gooogle South African culture there u can see a few nice ideas whit head scarfs.
Just remember that fashion is what u make of it!

U can do anything from wearing it around Ur neck to wearing it round Ur head. or your bags or by a side of any kind of add on.
