I have a Treo 650 and i really want to install wifi on it. I heard special wifi cards can be used with some of the PDA's. Does anyone know if something like that is available for Treo 650? And if yes, how does it work?
Thank you.

p.s.: I bought a wifi card made by palm but it's not compatable with Treo 650. Sandisk also makes wifi cards, but I can't find one that would be compatable with Treo 650. Does anyone know the exact name of the card that would work so I could look it up? Because I've tried to search but I seem to be getting the ones that aren't compatable with the OS on my palm.
Thank you thank you thank you :))

Yes, you can buy a WiFi SD Card that will work on the Treo 650. All you have to do is put the WiFi SD Card in the Treo SD slot, and your Treo will have WiFi cabapilities. The WiFi SD card is available online and many computer/electronics stores, such as Best Buy. The cost is about $100 or so.

The only downside is once you use the WiFi SD Card in the SD slot, you will not be able to simultaneously use another SD card for storage.

There is a rumor that Palm will be releasing a new Treo with built-in WiFi. That would be a wonderful welcome to a terrific smartphone!

go to your local electronics store, tell them you're looking for an SDIO wi-fi card. It looks exactly like the SD memory cards that your Palm Treo 650 uses, only it will be slightly longer (obviously to allow space for the wireless technology). I'm not sure if other companies manufacture this product, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Sandisk does manufacture them. As for how they work? For the most part it is going to be PnP (plug n play), but any software and instructions required will be included in the packaging. Hope that helps you out :)
