i working in hosting company. A few website at our server hacked last nıgth. Attack was not comıng from ftp server. 7-8 web site's index.htm files changed on same time 00:43:34. I thınk they use an program for automate process. What kınd a attack?

I think they have a home-made program which progmatically generating usernames/passwords. And when it connect change the index.htm.
You, which working on a hosting company SHOULD register IPs of those logging in and verify their origins...
