well up yonder in North Carolina; they call it Carolina blue and say it's cause God is a Tarheels fan!
Ask an old jazz musician and the response may be " The sky is blue and so are you... when you's a viper!"
OR, when you ask the venerable YAnswers community, you will get a litany of different answers to choose from from, many are entertaining or amusing AND some of them will often be absolutely correct, as we see above!

I think its a complex mathmatical formula. Like why the terra is mainly green,dirt brown,sky blue,etc. Think if you studied colors and read about what you learned in an allegorical sense it would be very understanding.
I think its all tied in and has to be certain colors etc or else it wouldn't work.

the sky make you feel clam when u look at it.so im guessing because blue is a clam color and it and that was the frist prettiest color created when he said let there be light and there was light.and next was the sky that y it is blue
