Double click the time at bottom right of your PC, click on "internet time", copy and paste this: time.windows.com

and check the little box.

Double click on the time display at the lower right corner of your winXP.
Date and Time properties window opens.
Select The Internet time Panel.

Check the box for Automatically synchronize with internet time server. Select one of the servers from the drop down list.
If there are none. Here are two servers you can add to the list, and press apply after typing it in.
time.windows.com
time.nist.gov

Press the button "Apply"
Press the button " Update Now"

After a few seconds you should see a message of successful completion. From next time windows will automatically keep the time synchronized.

Press OK to Exit.

(Of course you have to be connected to internet before you could synchronize time)
