I saw a few episodes of the show she did with Nicole Ritchie, she doesn't speak and she's got a weird face, why the hype?

I don't understand the hype over any celebrity. There are far more people in this world worthy of our collective admiration, like those who selflessly help others, and those who put their lives at risk fighting for a cause. If the general populous would stop reading pointless magazines such as 'heat' and 'chat' then the media would leave pointless celebs such as Paris alone. We are only fed what journalists think we want to see/read, why else would we be faced with such banality as 'celebrity love island' and 'X-factor'? we get what we ask for.

Paris Hilton was born into a wealthy hotel dynasty. Is that her fault? Her parents gave her a material upbringing. She is superficial. Does that make her bad? Can we really expect her to be an intellectual after being raised that way?
She has designed handbags, has her own fragrance and fashion line. She sings, too. And acts. Why don't you ask the 'point' of Jennifer Lopez, too? Both women have accomplished the same thing. Why single out Paris for ridicule?

I could say the same thing about a lot of these people who appear to be famous for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Famous for being famous! Surely one day the world will get as bored as I am and stop with all this nonsense.

You could say that about anyone. She's rich and pretty in a odd sort of way. Prefer the Road Trip series. Although I wonder if they were fed the ideas for their stunts.
