Let the little darlings walk and relieve the roads of people who have no idea on how to drive a vehicle larger than a shopping trolley. and would take away the problem of spoilt obese children.

Some of the answers you have received are great, how little people know about life. First of all they are practical and some are cleaner than a Ford Focus! Didn't know that did you? I have just ordered an Audi Q7 4x4 which has seven seats and it produces less emissions than your old bangers. I also have a Ferrari which is terrible on fuel and is not green at all and most people always wave and smile they love it. Doesnt make sense?
They are very safe for occupants and if anyone gets run over by any car at 30mph and above doesnt stand much of a chance. Yes admittedly we do not have any kids but we live in london and with all the weirdos where we live I would drop my kids if i had them at the front door until they were 16.
People are not aware of these weirdos until they commit an offence, wouldn't it be easier to be stuck in 5 minutes of traffic than have your kids going missing?

Probably because they only own a 4 x4, so thats the car they drive. Not everyone is lucky enough to live close to their school.
Some children are taken by foster carers who, by design, do not live in the same area that the child originally comes from, so has to take the child by car.
Given the number of sickos and pedos who prey on children walking to school, then I would rather put up with a few extra cars on the road at peak time.
That said, they don't always need to park so inconsiderately.

I am concerned about the catch all term4x4.Let's refer to gas guzzlers generally.Yes in London it is fashion and perception of additional security that motivates these people.
But,somel 4x4s are less polluting and smaller than a ford Mondeo.You can even get a 4x4 Fiat Panda.
Also we country dwellers rely on 4x4 traction.
I don't fancy the idea of being the target of a baying eco-mob next tine I drive up to London in my 35 miles per gallon Honda CRV.

I live opposite a primary school and every day for 9 years I have asked myself that question.
The state they get into with parking, the noise, the big daft 4 x 4's.

possibly image, damn i used to have to walk 4 miles to school, there are alot of things to take into consideration though, is the neighbourhood full of weirdo's, are there dangerous roads, a train track, are the children too stupid to understand the concept of a road crossing, do they have friends they can walk to and from school with, or perhaps its coz they are just too damn caring, and there children will grow up wrapped in cotton wool and be complete faireys when it comes to a real world event.. and driving anything else than a big daft 4X4 just wont doo, like an economical bus, or a nice small mpv, makes me laugh when they only live a mile away, and they use a 5litre behemoth, with room for twenty, and take just 1... nuts nuts nuts

Because they want to appear more important than the other kids mothers, then go out shop all day with the money their husbands earn and go and pollute the world some more by living the consumer advertisment controlled lifestyle that they are expected to, with no brains attached !!

This is one of my pet hates too, the thing is they cant even judge the size of the vehicle to park the stupid things, did anyone see on the tv what those things can do to a person if you are hit by one, in a car or has a pedestrian??

hi guys we own 2 4x4 i do live in the country side, my hubby runs a farm, we do go off roading i do agree with you people living in the towns with 4x4 they just have them 4 show and they are certainly never muddy like ours is

a lot of you are saying because they own a 4x4 it's logic but that is not logic why own one anyway why not a cheaper car just imagine the fuel they use and for one a lot of these women can not drive them i should know as one of them reversed over my front end they should get a smaller car if they need one.
