I have a friend with boy/girl twins. They are so cute!

She breastfed both of them, because it's the simplest way to feed a baby. No mixing, warming, scrubbing bottles, measuring stuff... It's always ready, and always the perfect temperature, not to mention it's free!

It is definitely possible for a mother to fully breastfeed both. Some mothers have low milk supply and give a bottle or two, but most can make plenty of milk for twins. Even if you had to give some bottles, any amount of breastmilk they get is VERY good for them.

Yes. One twin can be a girl and the other can be a boy. These are called "fraternal twins". They are not identical twins.

Mothers can take good care of both babies and meet their needs. They do it all the time. They'll be tired in the early years, but so are mothers of single babies.

I have boy/girl twins. Its great 'cos you get get the best of both worlds (especially if you don't have any other children). I fed them by bottle (formula feeding) and they were fine and healthy. I used to put them in their bouncers with a pillow or cushion underneath to prop up the bottles and feed them that way. I could monitor them both easily that way and quickly (if they needed to stop etc). I found twins quiet easy to look after. It was constant but o.k. If you have a good attitude to it (a can do attitude) then its easy. My two are eight in October and are fabulous kids. You will find they take turns at who is naughty and nice. That stays as a constant throughout. Good luck!

Of course you can do it. In the beginning is going to be really hard; but as soon as they get attached to you, the only thing that you are going to think is how much you love them, and you want the best for them; breast-milk is the best choice, give it a try; especially at night, you don't have to get up to mix bottles just put them in bed with you, of course, be careful, and you'll see healthy kids next to you all the time.
