Nothing is really bad for you unless you eat it to excess.
You don't say why you want to gain weight, but the 'healthiest' way is to train with weights and eat a high protein diet (lots of tuna, chicken, lean red meat etc.) or supplement your diet with the protein shakes bodybuilders use. In moderation, this should help build healthy muscle.
Just eating to gain weight without regular exercise, will result in your gain consisting solely of fat depoits which would make you look no better, and likely result in increased cholesterol which certainly isn't healthy.

You can't have it both ways. If you want him to put on muscle and weight, you have to feed a premium food like AvoDerm or Innova. You can mix it 50/50 with something like Canidae PAWS. Some dogs, even from the same litter, will develope differently, so be sure to consult with your vet to make sure that the change will be beneficial, and you won't be throwing money away. If he's a mutt, you never know what's going on inside of him. Excersize is good, but it has to be in conjunction with his growth. At 4 months, you have nothing to worry about, since he'll be growing for the next year, at least.

Fizzy drinks like coke and lemonade are extremely fattening. they contain a certain kind of glucose that doesn't break down in the body properly.
Or for a healthy way to bulk up - Bananas, eggs and bread.

You need to eat high calorie nuts and avocados - exceptionally healthy.
Especially almonds and walnuts. I'd say 2-3 avo per day, 30-35 almonds and a handful of walnuts/macadamia nuts
