The problem with maths is the way maths taught in our schools and colleges.In higher mathematics,the teacher himself doesn't know why it is required and where it is applied.They are more interested in using the formula and getting some answers.I don't want to blame him,because this is the way he was taught.
If we take efforts and read the history of maths,we will find lot of politics,bickering,manipulation and lobbying has happened to promote or subterfuge a particular concept or a mathematician.Downgrading pluto as a non-planet and expecting the entire world to accept is a very good example of brain-washing.History of maths will help us to openup our eyes and realise that we need not have to accept blindly everything published and glorified by the west.In fact,certain simple concepts have been made out to be highly complex by western thinking.

Maths has kind of attained a saintly position among the different subjects taught in the school today.

And as the saying goes, don't ask the past of a saint.
