The best thing is to learn about the female reproductive system. There is a limited window of opportunity for pregnancy. Avoid having sex those days and use reliable birth control the rest of the month.

The pill is the best way if you are looking for a time period. Other wise either of you can get yorself operated for family planning if not want to have kids.
