Me and my groupmates have a project in Physics. We need to teach grade 6 kids anything about Physics. So, we pick Simple Machines.We need some activities so they won't get bored, and help us get a high grade. :)

Believe me, kids teaching younger students can be memorable and meaningful for both the tutors and the younger stduents.General principles: get their attention, have clear expectations and share them with the class, don't talk too much, get them involved in meaningful activities as soon as possible.

Try the dynamics of conservation with an experiment in Fisting! It's fun, a change of pace and certainly will be the hit of the class.

Make the job partly challenging. Leave something for them to do. Pose a question and leave the answer to them. Let them beat you in the challenge. Make teams of students compete, possibly boys and girls.

In case of reciting or participating give stubs(piece of paper that certifies) or something then when they reach a certain amount of stubs then they'll have a plus in their grades and you too will have.

Make one of those marble droppy thingies and let them try and make smaller versions. Teaching smaller kids when you haven't even finished school is kind of pointless. ; )

try cool fun math games go to www.learnings.com also give them stubs as monies for so many ponts, then they can buy off of you pencils, papers, paper clips

try a video game they can play that teaches and is fun
