If you are taking prescribed medicine and are feeling worse, call your doctor in the morning (or now) and seek his advice. If you are taking pills that no one prescribed to you, STOP taking them and call a doctor for help.

I've been on prescribed pills for years now. Some work for some people and don't for others. Maybe you need a higher dosage or a different pill. But ONLY TAKE WHAT YOUR DOCTOR GIVES YOU! Don't take more because you can easily overdose and die. Don't take less because you can have ill sideeffects. Do you talk to a counselor or psychologist? I am bipolar and have seen 3 different psychiatrists and 7 different counselors in the past 19 years. It can be hard for some people to get the right help but be patience and talk to a professional. I am now on the right meds and see my counselor every 4 weeks. Life is better now. But it took some time getting here. With all my bipolar experience I suggest to people with depression not only to get professional help but to journal daily how you feel and what you did that day. You might find a pattern to your ups and downs. Of course you get depressed when bad things happen in your life but you can always get through it and be happy again. Look for things that make you happy. Art, music, dance, bowling, coffee shops, walking in the woods, animals, swimming, etc. Put these happy things in your daily life. That has helped me often. When I get depressed I got to the lake close by and sit there. I throw rocks in the lake, count the birds, look at clouds, read a book, listen to my favorite CD. Then in about and hour or two I feel better and I can go home and start living again. Sometimes I will have my son sleep at a friend's house and I'll lock up my house, turn off all the lights, light some candles and take a warm bubble bath. These little temporary moments of relaxation can do wonders.

Good luck! Just please call your doctor in the morning and maybe he will adjust your pills. If you need someone to talk to feel free to email me. Having a person to talk to openly helps. And I know depression well. It's been with me since I was 8 and I'm 35 now. I can give advice or I can just listen. Take care!!!!

You need to travel the world. Experience some culture. You'd love it. Who wouldn't?

I did it, and I can't wait until I'm back out there. I lived in China for a year, and then in Mexico for a year and a half. It was the greatest experience of my life.

It would make you happy.

And it's not difficult to travel. You can become an English Teacher abroad. There are schools all over the world hungry for native English speakers who will pay for your plane tickets, give you a place to live, and pay you enough to live very nicely over there. That's what we did with China.

We were hired by a school, and they gave us a free apartment, and free services, and paid us 4.5 times the amount of regular Chinese people. We only had to teach like 4-5 classes a day, and then were free to explore our new surroundings.

If you're looking for fun, excitement, enlightenment, or any other such things, you should definitely look into doing something crazy, like packing up and moving to another country.

Quit looking for outside sources for happiness and look within. If you know the Lord, He will guide you and help you. If you don't know the Lord, then keep seeking for the answers. Don't give up. "Seek and ye shall find." "Knock and it shall be opened unto you." God is known by many names, even in the Bible. Jehovah, Elohim, and Jesus just to name a few. Perhaps God is known by other names in different countries and cultures. If you examine the religions of the world, you will find many similarities. I beleive it all comes from the Spirit of God, the one true universal being of power.

Don't go off the meds yet. Talk to your doctor first. You also may want to consider a couple appointments with a therapist.
For some people, medication only works in conjunction with therapy. Good luck.

If the Medication is making you feel worse, First Tell your Doc.Tell him about the side effects that you are having. What you are feeling is the side effects from the meds, you shouldn't be feeling worse. You should feel more at piece, passive on these particular meds..

if the pills you are currently prescribed for your depression is making you feel worse, they may be the wrong type of anti-depressant/anti-psychotics. Talk to your doctor and notify them that your symptoms are worsening.

See your Doctor or Psychiatrist immediately. You may be subject to a side effect you/they were not aware of. All meds manufacture should have an 800 number; call them asap. Give them your information. It won't hurt to try, only if you don't.

Talk to the doctor who gave them to you. You should be counseled when on these kind of drugs anyway. You should tell him how you feel, and he can gradually work you down on a lower dose and then off of them, if he feels that is necessary. He might want to try you on something else. Please do sit down with him and talk to him and tell him how you feel. I take them and I feel fine.
