~so, what is an historical "avedance"?
If you are really interested, there's these neat things out there called books. They're full of words and crap, but if you can get past that, there's no end of what you can find in them.

As for Palestine, the original inhabitants are of little consequence. The Assyrans had it, as did the Babylonians, the Caananites (probably the first to be there), the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hurians, the Eqyptians, the Persians, the Romans, the Jews, the Phoenecians, the Greeks, the Carthagians, the Ottomans, and any number of others throughout history. The Philistines invaded while the land was under Egyptian rule, and they disappeared, at least as a distinct, identifiable group, under the Assyrians. It's a crossroads and a natural place for invasions by the powers of the moment.

The Philistines (aka Palestinian) very probably came from Crete, Cyprus and Macedonea and were not indiginous to the area.
In 1917/20, it was the Brits turn, and through the Balfour Declaration, Palestine was created as a League of Nations mandate, administered by Britian, with the goal being the creation of a national homeland for the Jews. Then, during WWII, the Brits restricted Jewish immigration into the Mandate. Finally, Britain walked away from the whole mess and the land was divided into two parts, 55% of which became Israel, much to the chagrin of the Arabs who lived there. The balance was divided between Egypt, Syria and Jordan. Of course, the entire Arab world attacked Israel immediately after Israel was created and, as has been the case ever since, Israel won and annexed additional lands.

What counts is not who was there first. To the victor belong the spoils. Europe wanted the Jews out of Europe. The Jews wanted a homeland and once upon a time they had lived in their "promised land" in the Middle East. The Brits, the League of Nations and the UN created a new nation and set the borders, sort of. Kinda like when the US stopped being part of Great Britain. Happens all the time. Count how many times Poland has been on and off the map. Whatever happened to Armenia? Israel, by international law, and force of arms, is now the national homeland of the Israelis.
The Seminoles and Caloosa aren't getting Florida back, the Lakota ain't getting the Black Hills, the Tuscarrora lost out in both North Carolina and New York, and the Seneca can't have Buffalo. The Celts aren't going back to England or Germany, and the Anglos and Saxons aren't gonna get Germany back either. Life, and Darwinism, work that way. The conquered assimilate or die, generally at the whim of the victors.

The natives of Palestine are the people and their descendants who were actually living there prior to the creation of Israel (1947-48). Israel is placed upon Palestine but does not cover all of it. The rest of it is illegally occupied by Israel against many UN resolutions. Many of the Palestinian people were either murdered by pro Israeli terrorist gangs or continue to live there, or are refugees from there, whose grandparents still hold in their hands the keys to the homes in what is now Israel, that they were forced out of. Some of the residents of Gaza and the West Bank had also always lived there and are also therefore Palestinians. Palestinians are mostly Muslims, but also Jews and Christians.

A variety of cultures owned it and the Jewish religion was more of a religion than a race The Jewish religion won out. The Romans conquered the Jews. The Muslims recognized that the Jews were there first and took it over (and launched the European Crusades). The Jews came back and took the land back over after WWII (through terrorism). Now the land that the "Palestinians" are on now was formerly owned by Egypt and Lebanon except after the Israelis took the land over after the 6 Day War.

Basically no one. Both the Palestinians and Israelis come from the same race of people. They were both somewhat nomadic and both lived in the area from the beginning of recorded history and again, here as in history, only religion serves to divide the family.
