This is an interesting question... You obviously have been shunned and are wondering how long it will be before your significant other shows interest so the cobwebs don't get too thick.

A woman needs compassion, passion, and someone who values her and her ideas to feel loved and respected.

If you are the type of man that belittles or acts as a superior - not an equal - than it will be a very long time.

I say this from experience. My husband is downright rude and inconsiderate at times (verbally abusive). I work hard, am a good mother, and more than provide for the family's needs as I am the primary provider in the household. He then expects attention, which I find really interesting.

Think about this for a moment: If someone treated you disrespectfully (in whatever fashion) and then propositioned you for some attention, do you really believe you would be able to forget how degrading the person has been earlier that day and "be in the mood" on a moments notice?

Answer: Take a real good look in the mirror and evaluate the situation. If you wish to change your dilemma, then start by apologizing and change whatever you are doing to create the situation (and mean it), and your problem in time will be resolved. Otherwise Harry and his five friends may end up being best friends.

I have 2 neighbors who are women. One, a spinster in her fifties, has been taking care of her mother for a very long time already and nothing else matter. The other one, not much younger but more attractive, co-habit with a new man every few months. I think the state of affairs, individual needs or what not plays a part.

It all depends on the woman in question and her needs. I have a longtime female friend whom hasn't been with a man for over 6 years. But, then again...what is normal anyway?

It depends on them. It is only women who can actually decide when to have sex or not to have sex.
