I have several friends (unrelated by the way) who have the ability to see the dead. Something like the 'Ghost Whisperer' series. I am wondering if there is any scientific explanation to explain this.. or is it simply a 'gift'?

Nope and probably never will be because all this comes from the spiritual side of life to which most people do not operate in that high vibration. I can sense the entities and I can tell if they are female or male and I can also smell the auras they want to project like a certain smell of cigar smoke and other assorted kinds of things that associated them to the earth world. Its a little disheartening to sense things others cannot because you get the "deer in the headlight look" whenever you choose to talk about it. I'm learning real quick not to talk about it any longer.

A little story I think you should hear. It's a true story that happened in south central Florida about 14 years ago. The Florida panther is an extremely endangered animal only a few dozen are believed to exist. So much so that the Florida State Fish and Wildlife agency put up signs on the highways that told people to call is 1-800 number on their cell phones if they saw a panther.
They got so many calls that before a year had passed they had to take the signs down. The game warden's were going out to see these "sightings" of panthers and none of them were actually panthers. People were calling in, thinking they were reporting a panther, when, in fact, they were looking at a log or an alligator.
The point is when people THINK they will see something then they are more prone to BELIEVE they see something.
It's called suggestion.

But I guess, it's a gift for those who can see the dead...
Like a line in the movie: I see dead people...

Yes there is some people can't take life as it is so they try to embellish the life they live with fantasy like this. or possible they have had a unreported head injury.
