It depends on how u look at it..from an individual point of view it is unfair...but from the universe perspective, it is fair. Unfair things arise from the conflict of good and bad.
What we assume is things would be fair once we have had only good. But the truth is if there is only good, there is no source of evil. That means that we cannot know what evil actually is. Therefore, if there is no evil, there is no good in this world. Simply because we cannot understand what is good unless we know what is evil. One cannot exist without the other one. So in terms of universal rules, life is very fair. Things are always in balance, good and bad. It to us it is unfair. But it's fair too because each one of us is just a small part of universe that has to accept his or her fate in order to bring balance into the world. Sad but true i think. :)

Perhaps because it wasn't "designed" to be easy/fair. A male lion taking over a pride will routinely seek out and kill all the little cubs so that the females will come back into heat sooner and be able to bear His children. Is that fair? Or is that just the way life is? Why do humnans make war and kill each other? Why do wild chimpanzee occasionally make raids on neighboring chimp groups and systematically kill any they can catch? Is it fair that the ebola virus kills so gruesomely by making its victims bleed from every pore and turns internal organs into jelly before actually killing the host? Is it fair that so many innocent god-fearing people were killed horribly on 9/11 and that some were so terrified that they jumped from a hundred stories up? Is it fair that it was only the previous pope that finally admitted the church was wrong about galileo hundreds of years ago? Is it fair that a bishop in Africa is trying to put a museum that has fossils on display out of business just because he doesn't accept evolution?
Or, is life simply what it is, nothing less, nothing more? On the other hand, you Could choose to answer your own question by Doing something about it, by actively trying to make life easier/fair. Then perhaps you could change the question for your children to "Why isn't life easiER/fairER? And maybe, just maybe, if you teach your children well, their children might ask How did life become so easy and fair!

Why are there fleas? Have you ever asked that question? No? (Obviously you’ve never owned a cat or dog.) Well, just think about it. What purpose do they serve? Granted, their existence creates the jobs necessary in the conception, testing, manufacturing, and marketing of anti-flea shampoos and sprays. But why are they here on this planet? They are dirty and nasty and they reproduce at an incredible rate. Why did God deliberately create such seemingly unnecessary pests? Why do they exist? Is there an answer?
In the same breath we could ask: Why is there pain? You know, gut-wrenching grief and sorrow? Does it have any meaning? Let’s face it; life presents many challenges to all of us.
Some people piously portray emotional pain as a brilliant blessing in disguise that really is our best friend. Somehow pain is supposed to be a useful tool, teaching us valuable lessons.
That philosophy seems rather hollow and empty, however, when talking with people who are in the throes of pain or who have endured hardship. What about the couple who loses their long-awaited newborn child three days after birth, or the woman who has discovered the ugly realities about her lingering, crippling disease, or the man with two kids who has lost his wife in the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001? What should we say when they ask, “Why is this happening to me?” Or how do we respond when they plead, “Please help me — How do a cope?”
A child is conceived in ecstasy, but birthed with much pain. The sharpest, hottest tears of a parent, however, are not caused by physical pain. They are the result of a sorrow that is more deeply rooted in the human soul than the body — the pain of a broken heart. And that is the way it is with life. Ideas and dreams are conceived with great enthusiasm, but the implementation of those concepts invites suffering and pain.
Some people are bombarded with heartache and tragedy, while others appear to navigate through life hardly touched by difficulty. Yet everyone endures emotional pain. Suffering is a universal language.
I know that language. Like many, I have felt my own emotional pain while crying out, “I never want to hurt this bad again.” I have been through some tough stuff.
But life just isn't fair, life is what you make it out to be.

It doesn't matter who you are or what your age is, life is not fair or easy to anyone, except the very rich...
I have been around over 50 years, and I have never had
an easy life or a fair outcome to anything I have been involved with...
Marriages, health, money, decisions, and involvements...
Never had a great piece of luck...
Nothing has ever been easy for me personally, and nothing has ever been really fair...
We live on Earth...Not Heaven!!!

It is a mathematical impossiblity that life should be fair to everyone on the planet 100% of the time. If everyone was rich and powerful, who would be behind the counter at the grocery store, or slaving away on a farm, or cleaning public bathrooms? Those of us who do have it somewhat easier should always be thankful to the people who are not so lucky. Without them, our lives wouldn't be easy at all.

"Hey playswithstuff, you must be young and impressionable. To determine the ease or difficulty in life, one must experience a great deal of its expressions. I was far out of my teens when I first gave an honest answer for my endeavors to achieve them. I just couldn't claim anything as being easy. Most of the things that happened to me seemed fair because they were a result of my own ambitions (I learned that the fairness in my life was up to me). I've got to claim, and I hope this doesn't bother you, that the longer I live, the easier it seems to acquire fairness from it.
I firmly believe that, as we age, all these things become known to us at clearer and cleared levels.
I feel confidence in mentioning that, as you age towards adulthood, you will find your own answers for these questions you've asked ... just like everybody else does.
You are not alone, we're all remarkably alike!"

Life isn't easy or fair because we are here to learn and grow from our experiences and we take this with us to our next journey. Metaphysically speaking this only a illusion of reality. We are spirits living a human experience. If you want more info contact me at trgallo12000@yahoo.com I'm a teacher of Metaphysics

Life is not a bed of roses or being cut and dry. It is the challenges that make it interesting and each moment different. We grow more when we face and conquer things that are hard in life. May not like what we are going through but looking back I know I have seen where I have grown.

Life is plain and easy. People who are over selfish make the life of others difficult to fulfill their interests or else everyone on the earth should live happily within their means.
