It only takes one, so why did we need to set up a huge government bureaucracy to ensure that the light bulb won't get changed for about 6 years?

Well POOFTER, you are kind of stupid. First of all, who said I support GW or a politician or government in any form.

Secondly, the department of homeland security was not the bureaucracy in question in New Orleans. I think you mean to say FEMA. The Federal Emergency Management Agency.

This was the agency involved with the Katrina situation, not Homeland Security.

Good job smart person.

None , They file a law suite saying the area previously lit by the light has now become dark and the people who travel in that area are at risk of future injury and if it is not replaced the lawsuits will only continue . A government panel is created to study the problem and decides that a light is indeed needed because the fences , barriers , and walls to prevent people from walking in the dark have done no good . So after great expense and some litigation the light is finally replaced at a cost of $11,348 ,486. This is 800 million cheaper then what it would of cost republicans to do the same thing . After jailing thousands of people at a cost of $35,000 a year for jumping the fences vandalizing the walls and going into the dark to smoke crack after they broke the light in the first place Republicans give up tear down the fences walls and signs about the dark and build a shopping mall that has a huge parking lot and the run off from the parking lot contaminates the drinking water for 25 ,000 residents and costs 780 million to clean up . SO what ever happens do not stop at home depot and buy a 25 dollar long life environmentally friendly bulb and put it in yourself just complain about it and let liberals and republicans decide how best to spend your money .

The largest single bureaucracy ever created is the Department of Homeland Security which was created by conservatives. Ask New Orleans how effective it is in changing light bulbs.

Again one more anti liberal rant that doesn't make sense. It's so cute how you guys keep trying. Let's ask people in New Orleans how they feel about FEMA turning on the lights. Oh but could that be considered a "huge Government bureaucracy"? Keep trying, I'm still waiting for a conservative pundit to say something, anything, clever or actually true.

None. Neither the liberals or conservatives can change the light bulb. Only we citizens of the U.S. can do that. We've just been too lazy and busy with the White House Entertainment to do anything. We like to complain more than act. ^_^

It would take a neo-con 5 one to unscrew it another to screw it back and the other 3 to install the cameras and mikes :)
