9x-6y=24
y=(9x-24)/6

Any points that satisfy the above equation is the answer. Seriously to solve system is by subtration.

5x-4x=13-11 (x variable is cancel away)
x=2

4*4-3y=11
-3y= -1
y=1/3

Ordered pair (2,1/3)

Practice alright, kid..

5x - 3y = 13
4x - 3y = 11

in short x = 2

(5*2) - 3y = 13
(4*2) - 3y = 11

10 -3y =13
8 - 3y = 11

18 - 6y = 24

18 - 24 = 6y

-6 = 6y

y = -1

the values for x and y

x = 2
y = -1

Hmm-m, equations are first order in two unknowns and neatly typed in columns for us...

Subtract the bottom equation from the top one.

5x - 3y = 13
-4x + 3y = - 11
- - - - - - - -- - -
x = 2

If x = 2, then:

5 (2) - 3y = 13

And

- 3y = 13 - 10 = 3 so 3y = -3 y = - 1

5x-3y=13
4x-3y=11
or
-4x+3y=-11
add both teh equations
x=2
and y =
10-3y=13
-3y = 3
y= -3
