Good Question. you seems to be quite enthusiastic about this topic .... haaaan?

Ok, to answer this. Do you think that Microsoft is not aware of all this? Trust me they are.

Its there strategy to allow people to do all this to gain wide acceptance. They earn enough money by seeling their licenses to corporate and others.

One more thing i like about Microsoft is.... rather than trying to stop this Q&A they will work from their end to stop that. Its their strategy too. Now after releasing SP2 they are continuously focusing on buying genuine softwares and regular upgrades. A Person who do not have SP2 running on their WinXP now cannot use Internet Explorer7, few MSN Live softwares and web applications......

So you see they will make their strategies in such a way that everyone in the world will have to buy genuine microsoft product in future. They are closing on each and every loophole they have.

But to conclude..... they are aware of all that and i bet they will not go ahead and try to stop that publicly. They have their own strategies to stop all this. :)

I hope that answers your question. Good Day.

Whilst it is quite right to state that discussion of illegal copying methods isn't illegal, it is only the fact of doing or facilitating that is illegal you should be aware that any such discussion falls within the Community Guidelines for this Q&A section.

Point 1(d) states that you must not post (including any links) to material which is violate applicable laws.

Using bittorrent or shareware for sharing illegal material does break applicable laws in most countries around the world. When you have a questioner stating that they want a free copy of software and you give them a link to a bittorrent or suggest that they use bittorrent or other file sharing technologies you are actually breaking the those guidelines as you are creating link to something which breaks applicable laws.

Ther result of this is that you can have your entire yahoo account suspended or deleted.

Microsoft will be concerned about the discussions on here and will no doubt be making representations to Yahoo which I forsee Yahoo taking a more proactive approach to breaches of its policy. As Yahoo and Microsoft now have a closer working relationship with the sharing of their Messenging technology to allow interaction between both services it is in both their interests to resolve such issues.

I think microsoft couldnt shut them down! Freedom of speech! Just because hacking and cracking microsoft products is spoken here doesnt make it yahoos fault if some uses the info! Its like P2P sites! People dont realize that it is perfectly legal to set up a file sharing site! It is illlegal for the people to share copywritten material! This makes it solely the users problem and only the user can be arrested! Not the sites! I can sell you plans for a satellite descrambler or legally sell you the unit! Legally you can build it! You cannot however use it! You people need to start reading the friggin contracts when you use a service but, seeing some of the questions in here shows me the lack of reading and comprehension skills in America!

while it is illegal to copy the software, it is not illegal to know how to, nor is it illegal to share that knowledge. unless they actually used the knowledge obtained on this site, they've done nothing wrong. and even if they have, this site is not responsible, because we have freedom of speech. we're allowed to tell each other how to do illegal things. we're just not allowed to do said illegal things. hope this helped. oh, and , no, microsoft can't do a thing.

It depends, I don't know myself, but Microsoft are probably having trouble with it.

But they might be getting new ways of coping microsoft products, so Microsoft could be using this to their advantage.

If a new way is found out, then Microsoft could try to overcome it in future years
