I work for quite a large organisation that deals in Insurance and pensions, and the number of Policy holders i deal with who have ran into problems either at the on set or making a claim on thier policy is remarkable and the worst of it is we have to make out as if it isnt our fault when it quite clearly is. Do any of you guys have this sort of working life because it is becoming very demoralising dealing with this day in day out.

Yes i am planning on leaving soon but i need to finish a course im doing at the moment. Thought i ould just get it off my chest

YES.

I work for a VERY large international company and it would seam that if you want to get on you have to be rude, incompetant, silly, useless, blow something up, or sleep with one of the other bosses!

The customers all take us for a laugh as we pay out HUGE amounts of money to people with no legitimate complaint and hide from regulatory bodies that some of our products are SH1T and dont actually do what we say they do...

And what is worse? I 'supposedly' quality control and ensure complience of these products! Am I allowed to do this? you bet your life I'm NOT!!

Work sucks.... especially for this company.

Unfortunately that's the state of work now a days..Companies are putting more emphasis on profit and new business rather than on customer services and staff I read an article this morning about Nat West and the RBOS who were giving staff bonuses of 100 quid if they got customers to take out loans or extend overdrafts..bast***ds

THat's globalisation for you mate ...just wait till they relocate the jobs to India or Eastern Europe..
All the best with your course..

I think every other job has its own peculiarities. Don't worry, you're not alone. Bear in mind, changing jobs will not solve the demoralising aspect of this role. You'll only have a new set of circumstances to deal with.

I am not sure about your question, but I know what you mean. I worked for a call center a while and the work was very depressing. The work is very draining on your energy so it is definetly not for all people.

How can you work for a company like that. I am on the receiving end and it is not fair. I've paid for years and when Katrina hit I was cheated by my insurance company.
