i dont know why but all of a sudden, when i am connected to the internet but not using anything, the connection icon in the taskbar is always blue. It seems something is using my connection. When i surf the net or download stuff, everything seems to be a lot slower. I think my pc is infected with something i don't know. Help please

Try to scan your computer from viruses and spywares.

Install a firewall, Zonealarm, it helps you to find out actually what programs are using your internet connection at a given time.
It gives you a online log of each request sent through or to your computer. And you can block, or remove the offending software from there.

Click on Start>Run>(type)msconfig>Startup>Disable all and restart ur pc!
Sometimes virus and trojan pinup on ur startup programme!

type msconfig in Start>Run.
Check all that is running.
