The little f*ggot is actually Boy George, and the chimpanzee I believe is a racial reference, sorry to say. Not very open minded or politically correct in those days....Good song apart from those little flaws...

I think the little ***** with the ear-ring might be Elton John and the chimpanzee Phil Collins.
The song isn't expressing Mark Knopfler's own opinion of them, its about a bigot ranting about celebrities.
