Depends, I mean there might be some special situation but in general no. Usually I am focusing on the relationship if its not working I break it off not because I found someone new...

I'm not a guy but I worked with victims of domestic violence for 16 years. Both women and men. Men are abused to, all though the numbers are small compared to women. I can't say it's right to have someone waiting in the wings, but it certainly help those I worked with to get through the break up easier. In a few cases it just made matters a whole lot worse. The best way is to do it right and let things cool down before making a move when your on the rebound.

No! Often the relationship is called off for a variety of reasons and doesn't mean that there is someone else. It seems natural to suspect that there might be another party involved however even if there were, that doesn't often work out and the guy could well come back and try for reconciliation. Did you just have a bust up? If so, don't let it get to you as you sound like you are only young and if so, you have the whole of your life ahead of you yet.

i believe the answer is Yes... sad but true...
i think that if you truly love a person whatever hardships that may come your way you will stay in the relationship, but if there is "someone" waiting in the wings then yeah, you will break up with him/her in order for you to be with that other someone.

I am not a guy but you should be more sure of yourself. If you broke up with someone and you are hurting take sometime for yourself before you jump into the fire again.

I've never had anyone waiting on me like this. On the other hand all the women who have left me have cheated and had someone waiting on them.

No. I didn't exactly have people standing in line for me anyways! If it wasn't right, I broke it off. But never for another person.
