Burt Reynolds was the main actor... and the movie is not for the light-hearted.

I believe the main actor was Burt Reynolds & the year was approximately 1974 1975 or even 1976. It featured the song "dueling banjas" and w the movie itself was about some buddies that took a camping trip to the boondocks and met up with some physco's along the way. Fairly decent movie .

Deliverance was a movie from 1972 by John Boorman starring Burt Reynolds, Ronny Cox, Ned Beatty and Jon Voight as the stars of the movie. The guy playing the banjo in the "Dueling Banjos" song from the movie looked like the product of incest.
