If you are absolutely sure that it is the first day of your period, then the chance of getting pregnant is NIL.

Most likely you cannot. When your period starts that means your body is getting rid of all of the stuff it built up to prepare for fertilizaton. Your cycle works like this, your body starts to prepare itself for a baby, it almost makes a little bed of tissue and fluid. Ovulation occurs about mid-cycle, if you have sex at this time then fertilization might occur. If fertilization does not occur then your body will realize this and get rid of the little "bed" it created for the baby, this is your period. If your cycle is not regular though there is a slight possibility you can get pregnant while on your period.

It is possible. It is thought that most ovulation occurs approx 14 days after your period.
