Tell him not to bring anything even gifts. You are only chatmates and not yet your husband or boyfriend, so why is he going to bring gifts? To impress your friends and families? then later on if didn't get what he likes, he will post it here that another filipina is a money-whore.
Come on! We are degraded too much here in yahoo. Learn some lessons from the others and value some dignity.

Bring American comdoms. I've been to Philippines nearly 20 times and that's the only thing I needed that I couldn't find.

Tell him to bring an american flag (for display in your room). As for gifts, commemorative coins of the United States Constitution. Its a good collection. I have one.

Chocolates....as they say warms the heart....

It depends on you since you're just chat mates, I dont think there's need to bring gifts..chocolates will do fine..if you happen to have a more deeper relationship..then might be good to ask some more...it really depends on you...

Good luck...

It depends on where in the Philippines he'll be staying. If within Manila then all the things he'll be needing are available there. But if he'll be staying in rural areas better bring stuffs like a lot of toilet paper, insect repellant, first aid medications... be more specific of the place where he's planning to stay.

Everything is available here. Just tell him to get all the vaccines he needs before coming over. Don't ask for anything and don't expect. That way you will not get disappointed and he will not look down on you. Maintain your dignity.
